Specialists from the legal department of the SE INFOTECH took part in a two-day training programme for data protection officers (DPOs) in Ukrainian state institutions, which started in Kyiv.
Participation in this programme is strategically important for the SE INFOTECH, as the company is the administrator of critical stapooooote registers and information system for which personal data protection is a priority.
The importance of the programme for SE INFOTECH
The acquisition of DPO (Data Protection Officer) competencies by specialists helps to systematically implement the most advanced European (GDPR) and national standarts in internal developmaent and administation processes. This directly contributes to increasing the level of trust in state IT services and strenghtening cyber resillience.
In addition, the competencies acquired at the seminar will enable legel department specialists to become internal trainers, ensuring the dissemination of a culture of data protection and the correct organistation of data processing among all technical and management teams of the Enterprise. The training programme, organised jointly with the Ombudsman`s Office and Estonain experts (Proud Engineers, EstDev), focuses on practical issues: from the historical developmant of regulation to building a data protection system and forming a DPO process map within the organisation. This knowledge is invaluable for INFO TECH as a leading state IT integrator that provides a systematic approach to GovTech solutions.
About the programme
The programme brought together 25 participants selected to form the first wave of trainers who will work to strengthen the capacity of state bodies. On the first day, key data protection principles and European and Ukrainian regulations were discussed, while the second day was entirely devoted to practical work on the roles and fuctions of DPOs.
Participants successfully completed the e-course and two-day seminar and received trainer certificates. This will significantly strengthen the culture of personal data protection in institutions, including at SE INFOTECH, ensuring that all our digital solutions meet the highest legal protection requirements.
The programme was organised by: the Secretariat of Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, the Estonian International Development Agency EstDev, the Estonian team Proud Engineers and the Higher School of Public Administation.
